Ed Jordan, Senior Pastor
The Lord Jesus Christ became my personal Lord and Savior when I was in the third grade. My pastor had shared the Gospel with our Sunday School class. I went forward, prayed to receive Jesus Christ, and was later baptized.
As a young teenager, I went forward again to pray to receive Christ. It seemed to me that my earlier commitment was possibly just emotional. So, I was again baptized. As a young adult though, I came to realize that God had indeed heard my prayer when I was in the third grade. In college I went on to make the wonderful discovery of being filled with God's Holy Spirit. This came about through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.
I have been married to Jo Anne, my lovely wife, for thirty-nine years. We met during college at Marshall University. Jo Anne is a Nurse Manager working part-time. She loves teaching an Adult Sunday School Class, singing in the choir, and serving in various ways.
We have a wonderful daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anne and Kenny Edwards. They have three children. We also have a terrific son and daughter-in-law, David and Ann. They also have three children. We are enjoying being grandparents.
I graduated from Marshall University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1974 with a Master of Divinity degree. I enjoy basketball, exercise, reading, and golf.
