Pastor Ed Jordan received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior when in the third grade. His pastor had shared the Gospel with his third grade Sunday School class during a Sunday School assembly. Ed went forward and prayed to receive Jesus Christ. He was then baptized.
As a young teenager, Pastor Ed went forward again to pray to receive Christ. He thought his earlier commitment was possibly just emotional. He was again baptized.
As a young adult, he came to realize that God had indeed heard his cry as a third grader. In college Pastor Ed went on to make the wonderful discovery of being filled with God's Holy Spirit. This came about through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.
Pastor Ed has been married to Jo Anne, his lovely wife, for thirty-four years. They met during college at Marshall University. Jo Anne is a Med Lab Tech and Nurse Manager working part-time at the Brunswick Jefferson Family Practice. She loves teaching an Adult Family Bible Study Class (Sunday School), sings in the choir, and serves in various other capacities.
The Jordan's have a truly wonderful daughter, Mary Anne, and a super son-in-law, Kenny Edwards. They also have a terrific son, Dave, and also a terrific daughter-in-law, Ann. They have 5 grandchildren.
Pastor Ed graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1974 with a Master in Divinity degree. He enjoys basketball, exercise, reading, walking, golf, inter-planetary travel and of course, time travel (just checking to see if you read this far, congratulations).
